Hi, my name is Manny Cunanan and I live and work in Quezon City, Metro Manila. My trip to Clark took place in January, 2014. I went to Pampanga Clark Freeport as part of my company’s planning session/ teambuilding. Human Resource booked us into some villas inside Mimosa Golf and Leisure Estate of Clark Philippines.

One 4-hour program of this event in Clark had to be cancelled because the speaker/facilitator fell ill and had to go home. This left us with a gaping hole in the second day’s program. To be quite honest, 90% of us were really happy about it, but it was bad to admit it, so we just shut up and refrained from appearing really pleased about this turn of event.

Half of us wanted to go shopping. I and few officemates decided to check out other places to visit in Clark. Long story short, I saw this small billboard right outside the gate of Mimosa. That’s how I discovered Clearwater Resort. The picture showed a lake. It looked beautiful and quiet. We hitched a ride and within a few short minutes, we were at the reception of this resort in Clark.

The daily admission fee for non-members was 700. But it was a weekday and there were 8 of us, so this Clark resort gave us a steep discount for a group tour rate. We were happy that they were friendly. The lake was even more awesome than the picture on the billboard. We didn’t bring swimwear – big mistake – but we got into the lake by renting a row boat and a couple of kayaks. That was really cool.

None of us was in great shape so we got exhausted very quickly. We also rented bikes of the resort for an hour but returned them only after 20 minutes, pathetic right? All that was really fun but the best part of our visit in Clearwater Resort was not the actions and activities. It was hanging out underneath those big trees on the picnic grounds, which I think is called Frolic Grounds of something.

I recommend this hotel resort in Clark Pampanga to anyone who visits Angeles City or Clark. Even if your destination is Subic, it may be worth your while to spend a few hours in this hotel in Clark. I have never seen anything like it. And don’t forget to bring swimwear like we did. They have this neat little white-sand beach.
